The inspection

What Does a WDI Inspection Look For?

A Wood Destroying Insect inspection evaluates visible and accessible areas of the structure for evidence of wood-destroying insects and conditions that may contribute to infestation.

A WDI inspection is limited to visible and accessible areas at the time of inspection. It is not a structural damage report or a warranty that wood-destroying insects are absent.

  • Visible termite activity
  • Evidence of previous infestation
  • Other wood-destroying insects
  • Conditions conducive to infestation
  • Visible evidence of previous treatment
  • Accessible areas of the structure

Texas documentation

Proper Documentation for Texas Real Estate Transactions

For Wood Destroying Insect inspection reports issued in connection with a Texas real estate transaction, Texas uses the Official Wood Destroying Insect Report, Form SPCS/T-5.

Tip of Texas Pest Control can provide applicable inspection documentation for qualifying real estate inspections so Realtors, buyers, sellers, and other parties have a clear record of the inspection findings.
